Standard Operating Procedures

Standard Operating Procedures

While most plants come with an “O&M manual” to help onboard staff and establish standards, these documents are often challenging to use as they are often not designed for an operator.  Aureus develops O&M procedures that are easy to use (written, YouTube, and mobile formats), easy to understand (developed using site terminology and practices), and easily implemented since they are developed through a collaborative approach with existing staff.

We have worked with operators, managers, and supervisors from over 250 industrial and municipal water & wastewater treatment systems to develop tailor-made Standard Operating procedures (SOP’s) that have helped our clients:

  • Minimize on-boarding costs and risks;

  •  Prevent knowledge loss when experienced staff retire or leave unexpectedly;

  • Reduce bad practices;

  • Diminish pre-mature equipment breakdown from poor maintenance practices;

  • Lessen costs and stresses linked to repetitive alarms and inadequate response;

  • Ensure standardization among the operational team.
