Founded in 2005, Aureus provides consulting, auditing, training, field support services to clients (large and small), in 2 core practice areas: corporate environmental compliance management and water/wastewater treatment system management. Our Team
Ted Bailey is the founder and President of Aureus Solutions. He has worked throughout Canada, US and the Caribbean on water, wastewater and environmental projects for a variety of organizations including Correctional Service of Canada, Canadian Department of National Defence, ESCO Corp., TRC Solutions, AllNorth, Water and Sewage Authority of Trinidad and Tobago, Goodyear Canada, Canadian Pacific, Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Environment Canada, Public Services and Procurement Canada, City of Kingston, Canadian National Railway, Amtrak, Shell Canada and Nordion Inc.
Ken Roberge is our Environmental Compliance and Management Systems Director. He has eighteen years’ experience in environmental compliance and environmental management systems in Canada and the United States. His specialties include: environmental management systems, environmental procedure development, compliance and EMS auditing, storage tank compliance, halocarbons, GHG management and reporting and waste management. He has considerable experience dealing with regulators at all levels. He is also an experienced environmental trainer.
Doug Thompson is our Water and Wastewater Operations Manager as well as a Senior Process Consultant. He has 31 years experience in municipal water/wastewater treatment management, including operations, senior management and providing certified operator training. He has extensive knowledge in Canadian legislation, codes, standards, policy and best practices. He has previously held a Class IV certificate in Water Treatment Subsystems, a Class III certificate in Water Distribution and Supply and a Class II certificate in Wastewater Treatment and has acted as an ORO and OIC for several systems across Canada.
Lilian Murcia is a Consultant with over 12 years experience in the water, wastewater and management systems field. She has extensive experience both in the consulting field and private industry with the development, implementation, auditing and maintenance of management systems, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 27001 as well as Ontario’s Drinking Water Quality Management System (DWQMS). She has an engineering degree and is fluent in English and Spanish.
Ashley Weese is a Consultant with over 10 years experience in the water, wastewater, community development and environmental fields. She has a variety of experience in organics management, environmental conservation and sustainability, environmental sampling and monitoring as well as wastewater/stormwater system assessments. She has a graduate certificate in Environmental Monitoring and Impact Assessment and she speaks both English and French.
Bathilde Gautier is a Consultant in the areas of water, wastewater and management system procedures. She has considerable experience in technical writing, having authored and co-authored three technical publications, prepared multi million-dollar proposals for the energy industry, and taught Technical Writing at Queens University. She is fluent in English, French and Spanish.
Brittany Muil is a Consultant with diverse environmental compliance, CSR and H&S experience including as a corporate ISO environmental specialist for Canon Canada, an H&S and EMS ISO auditor for Intertek and a support staff with Ontario's Ministry of Environment. She has experience developing, implementing and/or auditing compliance for EH&S systems for a variety of industries. Industry exposure includes compliance for internationally recognized food chains and retail stores, aerospace production, mixed plastic resin refurbishing and others.
